About Us
Capone's was opened in 1986 by Faith and Truman Capone. We create hundreds of custom designs per year, perform a diverse range of repairs, and carry a rare collection of jewelry pieces, many of which have been created in our workshop. Some of Truman's award-winning artwork is displayed on our walls.
Faith Capone
Faith got into the jewelry business during college while studying art and metal-smithing at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. She has created thousands of custom designs throughout her 40 years of experience in the trade. She specializes in wax design, sketching, and bench repair. She has extensive knowledge in and experience with diamonds, colored gemstones, and pearls.
Austin Capone
Faith and Truman's son, Austin, has been involved in the jewelry business for over 20 years. He started working at Capone's in high school and continued while attending Virginia Tech. After graduating, he worked at Tiffany & Co. as a sales professional in both Center City Philadelphia and Miami for four years. In 2010, he decided to return to the family business and now manages daily operations while also finding time to design, make repairs on the laser welder, and create original pieces. Austin holds a Graduate Diamond certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and has completed the coursework Colored Stones Essentials.
Kirk Burkett
Kirk Burkett is a bench jeweler and machinist at Capone's and is an integral part of the custom process. A jeweler by trade since 1975, his workmanship is beyond impressive and his type of training is quite difficult to find. He was educated by the Lithuanian masters of the House of Fabergé, foremost among them, Bruno Sabonas.
